Echo Farming Guide
Stop wasting Waveplates. Master the +5 stop-loss method, optimize your weekly boss rotation, and build god-tier echo sets with maximum efficiency.
🔧 The +5 Stop-Loss Method (Save 70% of Your EXP)
The biggest mistake players make is leveling an echo all the way to +25 only to discover the substats are garbage. This is how you stop doing that.
Level to +5 — Check the first substat
Use the cheapest echo EXP material for this. If the first substat is CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, ATK%, or Energy Regen → continue. If it's flat DEF, flat HP, or HP% → stop and recycle.
Level to +10 — Check the second substat
If you've hit at least one strong substat, push to +10. Two good substats by +10 = keep going. One good + one bad = consider recycling depending on how rare the echo is.
Level to +15 — The decision point
At +15 you've revealed 3 substats. Keep if: 2+ strong lines. Recycle if: only 1 or 0 strong lines. Cost 4 boss echoes get more leniency — they're harder to farm.
Level to +20 and +25 — Only if it's already good
Only push to max if the echo has 3+ desirable substats by +15. A 3-good-stat echo at +25 is better than a 5-bad-stat echo — don't sink EXP into mediocrity.
🗺️ Where to Farm Echoes
🌍 Open World (Free)
Defeat overworld enemies and absorb their echoes. Higher Data Bank = better drop rates (up to 20% base). Use F2 → monster icon to track specific echoes. Cost 4 boss echoes reset weekly — farm them every Monday.
⚡ Tacet Fields (Waveplates)
Spend Waveplates here for guaranteed echoes of a specific Sonata set. Also drops echo EXP and tuning materials. Always target the set your character needs. Never let Waveplates cap at 240.
🎯 Fantasies of a Thousand Gateways
Alternative Waveplate spending option. Some players report better echo drop rates here vs standard Tacet Fields. Worth testing once your characters are built.
🏆 Weekly Bosses (3/week)
Weekly bosses drop high-quality echoes and materials. Claim 3 per week. Priority: bosses that drop Cost 4 echoes matching your active team's sets.
📋 Optimal Echo Setup for DPS Characters
The standard endgame echo layout is 4-3-3-1-1. Here's what to aim for on each piece:
| Slot | Main Stat | Substat Priority | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cost 4 | CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG | CRIT > ATK% > ER | Pick based on your weapon — CRIT DMG weapon = CRIT Rate echo (and vice versa) |
| Cost 3 (×2) | Element DMG Bonus | CRIT > ATK% > ER | Match your character's element. ATK% is an acceptable substitute while farming |
| Cost 1 (×2) | ATK% | CRIT > ATK% > ER | These are your "flex" slots — easiest to farm, prioritize CRIT substats |
📅 Recommended Weekly Farming Routine
- Monday — Weekly reset: Kill all 3 weekly bosses. Farm Cost 4 overworld boss echoes for your active team (free, no Waveplates).
- Daily — Spend Waveplates: Run the Tacet Field for your target Sonata set. If you don't have a specific target, farm the set for your Main DPS.
- Wednesday/Weekend — Tuning session: Go through your echo backlog. Level everything to +5, sort into keep/recycle piles. Push promising echoes to +10/+15.
- Before logging off: Check Waveplates. If near cap (240), condense into Crystal Solvents or spend them. Never waste regeneration.
